Professor

Professor Lee graduated from Sung Kyun Kwan University in 1987 (B.S), Seoul National University Graduate School in 1989 (M.S) and has been a researcher in advanced materials research devision from RIST (Pohang Research Institute of Science and Technology) until 1993. He entered the Ph.D program at Seoul National University Graduate School in 1994 and obtained his doctorate in 1997 with dissertation regarding the role of rare earth element La in the high-temperature oxide growth and oxide growth of FeCrAlLa alloys. A doctoral dissertation was selected as an excellent doctoral dissertation from Seoul National University Graduate School.

After receiving a Ph.D, he studied the semiconductor tungsten gate module in advanced technology research center of Hynix (formerly LG Semiconductor), in which he significantly contributed to the development of low resistance metal tungsten thin film from the crystallization of the amorphous WNx thin film. In 1998, he joined the Materials Engineering Department faculty of the Kongju National University (currently, the Department of Advanced Materials Engineering) and opened the Functional Materials Laboratory. In 2019, he is the director of Innovation Center for Engineering education and the Vice Dean of the Engineering College.

The major research interest encompasses the functional thin films and powder materials technologies. Meanwhile, he has been participating in the various Korean Government R & D projects such as Components & Material Development project, RIC project, Regional University Excellent Scientist program, RRC, Core Research Center program, SGER project, etc.
